Worship Songs | Lifting Up The Name Above Every Name

Worship can be expressed in so many ways - thru dancing, singing worship songs, greeting guests as they enter the church, etc. As long as the thing that we do, we do for Jesus and for Him to be glorified more, that is worship - be it outside or inside the church.

In a church setting, part of a worship service is singing of praise and worship songs corporately. The congregants are led by the worship team of the church into God's Presence by singing songs that tell about God's goodness, faithfulness, and all that He is. They (worship team) magnify the Name of Jesus - nothing more. It's all about Him.

The songs that they sing are either originally written by them or composed and sung by other Christian churches like Hillsong, Bethel, Free Chapel, etc. These mega churches have tons of beautifully written songs that are theologically sound.

This blog contains lyrics of the songs that we sing in our local church (New Life Alabang in Manila, Philippines). Before we do a song in our worship services, our whole music team studies the song - technically and theologically. We meditate on the lyrics and take by heart what the song tries to impart to us and where can we find Jesus in the song.
